Lulu California Bistro

We were at downtown Palm Springs the Sunday before Memorial’s Day.  It was a scorching hot day.  We couldn’t wait to get into a restaurant and enjoy the air-conditioning.

I wanted to show my husband and son this restaurant, which I have seen during our Moms only trip out to Palm Spring in March but haven’t tried.  They have a 3-course special everyday for $19.99 and during the early bird special from 3pm to 5pm, it is only $16.99.  My watch showed the time at 3:15pm, just perfect for the early bird special.

We ordered two early bird specials between the three of us.  Our appetizer were Mushroom Soup and Caesar Salad.  We ordered the Lobster Ravioli and Maple Glazed Pork Chop a our main entrées.  And lastly, we ended our meal with Tiramisu and Vanilla Ice-cream as our dessert.

The service was excellent. Our waiter is very understanding. He gave us extra plates for my son to share our food with us. The food definitely worth the money we spent, if not more. I really like the 3-course special which had given us a chance to try 6 different dishes on their menu.

My son was so happy to visit this restaurant and he wanted to return next week. He said this is a fine dining restaurant because they use cloth napkins. He enjoyed all the food and especially loved the lobster ravioli. He probably could have finished all 4 lobster ravioli by himself. The maple glazed pork chop was really juicy and yummy. I couldn’t have finished it without the help from my husband and son.

I promised my son that we’ll visit this restaurant again but definitely not during summer season.

The food is just too good. Go when the weather is not this hot. You will enjoy Palm Springs better.
